Taking donations to the next level

Foodbank SA & NT play a vital role in the fight against food insecurity – and when it came time to improve the way they run digital fundraising campaigns, they turned to Mity to design and develop a solution that delivered flexibility, control and deep CRM integration.

We worked closely with the Foodbank team to create a custom donation platform that makes it easy for them to build campaign-specific landing pages with tailored messaging, imagery, and donation forms – all while seamlessly connecting with their Payments2Us and Salesforce setup.

Built for flexibility – without sacrificing integration

The core of the solution was to give Foodbank full control over creating and publishing new campaigns without needing a developer. We built a Statamic-powered platform that allows the team to:

  • Create beautiful, branded landing pages for each campaign

  • Embed customised donation forms with predefined values

  • Pass donor data via URLs from email campaigns to pre-fill form fields and personalise the donation experience

The donation forms are fully integrated with Payments2Us, which feeds data directly into their Salesforce CRM – ensuring donor data is captured, categorised and actioned efficiently.

To support this flexibility, we developed and implemented the Mity Variable Number FieldType add-on, giving Foodbank the ability to set default donation amounts dynamically via the page’s content configuration – and override these amounts through query parameters in campaign URLs. This provided the best of both worlds: sensible defaults with the ability to tailor the form experience per audience or email send.

A key feature of the platform is the ability to pass data through query strings in the campaign URLs. This means Foodbank can:

  • Pre-fill donor details from an email campaign (like name and email address)

  • Set preselected donation amounts or frequencies using our Variable Number field

  • Track campaign attribution directly within Salesforce

These personalisation features not only streamline the donor experience, but also help improve conversion rates and reduce friction in the giving process.

The new donation platform has already supported multiple major campaigns for Foodbank SA & NT – helping them respond quickly to emerging needs and seasonal drives, all while maintaining a consistent donor experience.
